JOIN HILARY IN THIS AUTISM MOVEMENT THERAPY® (AMT) BASED SESSION, PART OF MOVEMENTWORKS® 'DANCE ON DEMAND'Each MovementWorks® On Demand Autism Movement Therapy® based session contains movement, dancing and activities including a warm up session, followed by some dance movements to the AMT music,  a game or games and then a cooling down session incorporating some mindfulness techniques.The sessions have a structured approach that stimulates the brain, aids sensory processing, develops communication and motor skills and supports challenges associated with autism, all while having fun! For more information, please visit our What is Autism Movement Therapy? webpageAMT is an exciting approach which complements other therapeutic techniques for autistic children  and has them meeting and achieving their speech, social and academic goals.About this session This AMT session follows the structured approach that stimulates the brain, aids sensory processing, develops communication and motor skills and supports challenges associated with autism, all while having fun! Right from the warm-up activities and the Autism Movement Therapy® games, Hilary introduces various movements, giving time for the participant to practice and imitate her and then at the end of each activity, these movements are combined to create a full sequence of moves to the music. Included in this session are two warm up sessions, the AMT ‘Mouse’ and ‘Freeze’ Hilary rounds off with a mindfulness section including positive affirmations. All activities are accompanied with clear instructions and are repeated several times to allow participants to join in from their first view.Who is it for? Individuals aged 7 years and over with or without a diagnosis for Autism. Who can use this session?
